Ubuntu in VPS Hosting
Ubuntu is available with all of our Linux VPS hosting and you can purchase a VPS running it in just 60 minutes. 32-bit and 64-bit versions of the OS are available, which means that you can pick the one which you need if the software that you wish to run on the web hosting server has particular system requirements regarding this. You can also select whether your Ubuntu-powered VPS should be installed with no Control Panel, in which case you will have full root access and you will be able to install anything through a console; or if the Hepsia Control Panel should be installed on it, in which case you will have a web interface and all the necessary web server, MySQL, FTP, electronic mail server, etc. software will be pre-installed. The root access in the second case will be more limited, but such a setup is more effective for users with less experience. We will also maintain your Ubuntu up-to-date regularly when you add our Managed Services upgrade. You will be able to do so throughout the VPS order process or at any later time via your billing Control Panel.
Ubuntu in Dedicated Web Hosting
Ubuntu is one of the Operating System options that you will find on our registration page if you decide to get one of our Linux dedicated web hosting. We'll set up the 32-bit or the 64-bit release, so as to match the system requirements of the applications that you wish to set up on the server. You may also select the software which will operate on your machine, since we will set up only the Apache web server software, so everything else can be tailor-made software of your liking. You will be able to install the latter without any problems through a Secure Shell console, since you'll have root-level access and you will have full control of the hosting server. You can install a web hosting Control Panel as well and control some things through a graphical interface, as long as it can work on an Ubuntu-driven machine. To make things easier, we also offer a Managed Services upgrade, which, among other things, contains OS upgrades.
